During an action day (or ‘do’ day) people from the neighbourhood all work together on different actions (micro-interventions) to have more green and blue in their neighbourhood. Activities include things such as building small gardens in the street, greenifying of a square, planting of driplines and making school playgrounds greener. Such action days can be very inspiring and give a real boost to the social coherence and engagement of the local community. People can more or less see each other at work. In a central place (a square, a tent, etc.) information and context on the project can be provided for by-passers and the neighbourhood team can have briefings, tea, coffee and lunch there.
