A mock-up scale model can be used to help stakeholders visualise a plan or idea. It can be used to persuade and inform your audience of your plan, such as showing a before and after model of the neighbourhood with the changes you’re intending to make in their streets. It can also be used to explain a more difficult subject, such as how the whole sewer system works or what the impact of greenery or paving is for the groundwater table. A 3D model can be a physical model or a computer rendered visualisation.
